iDigInfo Director Austin Mast began representing the Association for Advancing Participatory Science (what was called the Citizen Science Association before 2024) on the Board of a new, global collaboration of citizen science organizations, the Citizen Science Global Partnership, in 2022. The CSGP is particularly focused on delivering value from citizen science at global scales, especially with the United Nations. Most recently, Austin traveled as an invited speaker to participate in the inaugural Citizen Science Africa conference (Nairobi, Kenya) and as a speaker and moderator at the European Citizen Science conference (Vienna, Austria).
